when的运用与高考
1.When 可以用作从属连词，引导时间状语从句。意思是“当。。。。时候”从句的谓语动作可以是延续的，也可是非延续的。从句多用一般现在时、一般过去时、现在完成时。
1)---- Can I join your club，dad？
---- You can when you _____ a bit older.

3.When 可以引导让步壮从句，“虽然， 可是”

2)He failed the match when he had the chance of winning it.
4.When 可以引导原因状语从句 “既然”( since , now that)

5.When 可以做“如果。要是”解，引导条件状语从句，表示对某事是否发生有把握，而 if 对某事的发生无把握。

6.When 可以做“在那时”主句用过去进行时、过去完成时、或”was/ were about to do sth……when ….”结构. ( and then, at that time )

2)I was cooking in the kitchen when someone knocked at the door.
3)He had just finished the book when supper was served.

7.When 可以用做关系副词，引导定语从句。

8.When 也可以引导名词性从句，在从句中即起连接作用同时也作状语。
